Callie embraced her life. Here are some ways to support projects and places that have helped make her life better.

High Point Friends School

Callie attended High Point Friends School. This private, Quaker school embraced Callie for who she was. The school lives its principles of humility and inclusiveness. You can make a donation in memory of Callie by mailing a check to the school at 800-A Quaker Lane, High Point, NC 27262.

Hospice of the Piedmont

Throughout Callie’s life Hospice of the Piedmont helped us navigate the difficult challenges and decisions that all parents of terminally ill children face. Hospice also helped provide medicine and supplies. You can give in memory of Callie here or by sending a check to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.

Child Enrichment / First United Methodist Church

When Callie was diagnosed, Kim Myers, the director of Child Enrichment preschool at First United Methodist Church, told us the school would do whatever it took to help Callie enjoy life as a preschooler. Over the years the church continued to support Callie and our family. You can make a donation to Child Enrichment or First United Methodist Church by sending a check to 512 N. Main St., High Point, NC 27260.

Gwendolyn’s Playground

The Gwendolyn Strong Foundation is raising money for an all-inclusive playground so children with disabilities can enjoy playing. Gwendolyn also had SMA, and she embraced every aspect of her life. You can make a gift to this project in memory of Callie, and learn more about the project, here.
